Our 10 km course for 2016 has also been certified by Athletics Canada. It is flat and fast and full of scenic beauty.
From the starting line, the route makes a quick tour along tree-lined residential streets before crossing the bridge over the Red Deer River. From there, the course loops back under the bridge to access the paved pathway which leads to Midland. You will run through huge Cottonwood trees until you reach an old train bridge. At this point, the route turns right and loops around Midland, rejoining the pathway for a fast run back into town. After re-crossing the river, the route circles around under the bridge to gain the last few hundred metres of the course. It will be a fast and shady finish. There are no hills on this course, and it too will be well marked and well marshalled.
